This post is about re-designing of my personal logo which eventually leads up to designing a showreel at the end of the year. Since that is not for another few months, I have decided to begin re-disigning some of the aesthetics for my personal brand now. My previous logo which was: 

This logo was designed hastily and not a lot of thought went into it as the only thing I did for designing this previous logo was that I came across a font called 'QUB' months ago but never really used it. Since each letter depicted on the font was rectangle, I decided to make the most of it's shape and place it inside a bigger rectangle and voila, you have a logo. 

 

Recently, I decided to change my designs to fit what I initially wanted to be as a designer. I opted to re-design my logo as I see it as the basis of my designs. Since the previous logo, in my opinion, looked too messy, cluttered and a bit too 'all over the place', re-designing the logo was the first step into working on a new structure for myself to design.

 

The first thing that came to mind when designing the new logo was that, it had to be flat; it had to look clean, symemtrical and easy to animate... and it works well with black white and red. So this is what I came up with. That said, I have seen logos with similarity to this...

After I have chosen this flat and neat looking design, I began animating them on After Effects. These were some of the animations I was able to make. I am considering using option 1, 2 or 4..

So yeah. I've designed myself a new logo, have animations to chose from and it looks neat over all.
